Santa Barbara Acoustic Instrument Celebration

This past weekend I had the awesome opportunity to have some work hanging in association with the Santa Barbara Art Association at the Santa Barbara Acoustic Instrument Celebration.

This celebration hosted some of the most skilled luthiers in the world as they exhibited their recent projects and instrument models.

Big thanks to SBAA for setting us up with such a unique show. All of the artwork had to be music themed and it was fun to see how the different artists interpreted music into their art through composition and color in ways they may not be accustomed to. A good challenge can be enlightening and expansive in thought!

I chose to work monochromatically with small hints of tertiary to convey the sound of music. I believe color can set a tone just has a song or a chord is able to.
