Near the end of last year I was commissioned to make a painting of one of my favorite beaches along the Gaviota coastline. I found this a unique request as I am currently living and studying in Tasmania. Contemplating the offer I fell into a daze......I soon became accompanied by soft sheltered gusts of north-westerlies carrying the aromatic flavors of local chaparral over the headland.
