Santa Barbara Acoustic Instrument Celebration

This past weekend I had the awesome opportunity to have some work hanging in association with the Santa Barbara Art Association at the Santa Barbara Acoustic Instrument Celebration. This celebration hosted some of the most skilled luthiers in the world as they exhibited their recent projects and instrument models. Big thanks to SBAA for setting us up with such a unique show. All of the artwork had to be music themed and it was fun to see how the different artists interpreted music into their art through composition and color in ways they may not be accustomed to. Okinawa Reflection

May-July I had the awesome opportunity to study Japanese and explore Japan's beautiful southern island of Okinawa. Within my first week of arrival I became captivated by giant cumulonimbus clouds radiating pinks and oranges cast over jagged igneous rock gardens submerging from crystal clear water. For my Japanese study I attended Cross Cultural Communication Center or CCCC located in Ginowan which lies just north of the capital city, Naha, in southern Okinawa.
